The clean steam generator essentially consists of a double-tube sheet heat exchanger and an evaporator tank with a water storage with large volume. The evaporation is proceeded in natural circulation, that means through thermal moving. Through this and through the automaticaly intermittent discharge sedimentation in the heat exchanger as well as in the steam generator is avoided.
Heating is effected through saturated steam via the shell of heat exchanger. Pressure of clean steam is controlled via pressure gauge and heating steam control valve. Due to the large volume water storage a good buffering can be achieved on peak tappings.
Through the large diameter of evaporator and low steam velocity resulting of this an effective demisting is ensured. Additional safety is provided by double redirection of clean steam and baffle plates with cyclone effect.
Each product-contacting part of the plant is made of high-grade steel, AISI 316L or even higher. The heat exchanger is implemented as a double-tube sheet heat exchanger to ensure that an unnoticed mixing of clean and unclean water or steam is not possible in case of leakage at the connection between tube bundle and tube sheet.

This type of clean steam generator is a mobile compact unit. Due to a built-in DI-water flashback chamber and a built-in waste water tank the plant is able to operate self-sufficient. Generator only requires a high-voltage socket.

Evaporation tanks and separation vessel are heat-insulated with mineral fibre and a stainless steel facing.
The plant features a 100 liter storage tank made of stainless steel. A probe in the tank indicates the limit values of the filling height and protects pump against dry running. All parts of the plant are mounted on a mobile stainless steel skid. Steam connection is performed as a flexible steam pressure hose.
Operation of clean steam generator is fully automatical. The sterilisation cycle is started manually. When required temperature, previously adjusted, has been reached pre-selected sterilisation time starts to run down. The requested clean steam pressure can be adjusted.
Each product-contacting part of the plant is made of stainless steel, AISI 316L or even higher. Control of the plant is placed in a control cabinet. All operating stages are displayed. Faults are announced additionally by an acoustic alarm.
Mobile sample unit for a safe, controlled sampling of clean steam systems for laboratory tests by means of condensation of clean steam with cooling water.
The steam supply of condenser will be connected via a pressure-proofed clean steam hose with a clean steam tap.
The cooling water will be fed to the shell of condenser over a hose and drained by a second hose. The clean steam condensate is collected in a vessel of stainless steel. Quantity can be supervised through a gauge glass.
If there is enough condensate in the vessel a sterile bottle will be connected to the lower outlet of vessel. By opening the valve of vessel outlet the condensate will be pressed in the sample bottle. The bottles are carried along with the bottle basket of the sample unit.
